SkillsUSA Pin Design Contest Winner

It is with great pleasure to announce and congratulate the SkillsUSA RI Pin Design contest winner, one of our very own Matthew Delano! Matthew is in his junior year here at Davies and has proven to be a very motivated and creative student. This contest was optional and was open to all students who are SkillsUSA members. I held open lab workshops after school for four weeks where students could create their design from concept to completion using Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator. Matthew used this time to his benefit and was committed to creating a design that was both aesthetically pleasing and unique. His hard work proved to be successful and now he will be going to Kansas City, Missouri this summer to compete in the SkillsUSA National competition. Matthew's peers and teachers are very proud of him and can't wait for him to represent RI at nationals.
